Today when businesses and government want to evaluate their climate risk and opportunities, they cannot translate climate data into their business needs. INDRA is a platform that is being developed by CSIRO’s Data61 to address this challenge in a range of sectors including infrastructure, agriculture, energy, water and health. This talk will focus on applications developed within INDRA related to infrastructure locally and internationally for a range of use cases including asset management, development applications, business cases, precinct planning and management of social vulnerabilities. These are mostly adaptation challenges faced by local government as opposed to mitigation which is already being dealt with reasonably successfully. For effective adaptation one needs good quality data and insights presented in forms that are fit-for-purpose and interoperable with existing capabilities and systems within industry and government. This talk will also showcase how these needs can be met via features that we have developed in the INDRA platform.
