Anne Shearer
Anne is a Senior Asset Advisory Manager for NSW Public Works, bringing with her 20 years Local Government experience, and another 20 years in education in various roles. Anne works with Government agencies to develop their asset management systems, developing functional asset management strategies and plans.
Anne’s career in Local Government began as a Road Safety Officer Over the years she transitioned to other roles such as grants officer and project manager culminating in the development of an asset management team and project management office. She has held various leadership roles within the infrastructure group, most recently in an acting Group Leader role.
Anne holds a Masters in Local Government and is a certified associate in asset management. She has completed the IPWEA Asset Management Pathway courses and the Foundation Certificate in Managing Successful Programs (MSP).
Anne has worked closely with senior staff on cross departmental organisational changes and continuous improvement initiatives. She has overseen the introduction of a project management framework, the implementation of new processes and procedures, and the development of an asset management system.
Anne has extensive experience in managing large-teams and stakeholder engagement. She believes that managing infrastructure effectively is vital for our future environmental, economic and community wellbeing. Her focus is on providing decision-makers with the necessary information to prioritise investment in a defensible, replicable and objective way.
