Ashley J Bishop
Ashley Bishop is the Coordinator - Strategic Asset Management for Manningham City Council in Victoria.
Ashley has considerable experience in the Public Sector commencing at the MMBW in Engineering and Computing progressing through Administration and Training, with similar experience in the private sector, TAFE and at Deakin University. Commencing in Asset Management in 2002 setting up the asset management system, the development and implementation of Asset Management and Service Plans and Practices, Capital Works Evaluation and program development and valuations. He was a key member of the assets team at Glenelg Shire and Warrnambool City Councils and the lone operator at Benalla Rural City. Now at Manningham City Council he has a more strategic role in developing and enhancing asset management practice. He has a passion for developing Asset Management as a recognised field of study and promoting the use of standard procedures and practices across the industry and the strength of regional forums to discuss asset management issues and is currently a member of the IPWEA Asset Management Committee.
Ashley has professional qualifications in Human Resources, Training and Development, Defence Studies and in Infrastructure and Engineering Management and holds a commission as an engineer officer in the Australian Army Reserve.
